Ung Nordisk Musik (UNM) is a contemporary music and sound art festival. This year the festival will be held in in Tampere, Finland. Tampere occupies a special place in our hearts, as it should for all music-lovers of the North. All the young members of Tampere’s music scene share an ambitious and supportive attitude towards experimental music – an atmosphere we cherish, and to which we wish to contribute.
Tampere Biennale – reborn as Tampere Biennale 2.0 – has the great pleasure to be visiting UNM festival 2020. We present two concerts of Finnish music performed by guitarist Patrik Kleemola and Uusinta Ensemble, as well as a concert by young composers of the Pirkanmaa Music Conservatory. Culture House Laikku is opening its doors for a family day of workshops and a children’s musical fairy tale, and for sound art works and two online video works.
