Tine Surel Lange (b. 1989) is inspired by the nature and often use field recordings (mostly recorded in nature in Northern Norway) as a fundament for her compositions. Her pieces ranges from solo and chamber music mixed with sound from nature to electroacoustic compositions and sound installations.
Tine Surel Lange is born in Northern Norway and have been studying in both Denmark and Norway; early music at the Royal Music Academy of Denmark, sound design at Sonic College and composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
Tine Surel Lange is an active performer and have performed her music in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Germany and Russia. She is currently working on an interactive sound installation commissioned by the Danish ministry of gender equality on occasion of the 100 year anniversary for Danish women’s right to vote and stand for election.
The piece is the first in a series of different moods, and this one is about darkness. Darkness is everywhere; inside us, outside us, part of life and somehow also part of light.
