The opening concert of the historic Tampere Ung Nordisk Musik Festival is given by Tampere Cappella chamber choir, led by its founder Markus Yli-Jokipii. Featuring are also musicians from Tampering Ensemble.
The orchestral concert is at the core of UNM’s values: Nordic cooperation, dialogue between generations and realising the wildest visions of young composers. The festival audience will visit sound art work performed all around central Tampere (GOGO Park gym, Galleria Koppelo, Eteläpuisto Park Pier, Monitoimitalo 13), extending beyond a regular concert setting. UNM’s partner festival, Tartu Interditsiplinaar is organised simultaneously is linked by an installation located in Galleria Koppelo.
