MICROPHONICAL IMPROVISATION
I do not consider myself as a composer but as an improviser, though the borderline between composing and improvising is sometimes rather vague. Microphonical Improvisation, as one can notice from the title, is based on improvisation with few rules. Its length and form of existence varies from a performance to another. The piece had its first performance in June 2019 in Tallinn. The idea of the piece is to produce all the sound material used in the performance by only touching different surfaces and consciously creating feedback with microphones. No musical instruments are allowed as the performers must explore the music in the sounds the everyday life provides us.
